Name:   Elbaite Tourmaline var. Cat's Eye Verdellite
Location:  Pederneira Mine, Lavra de Pederneira, San Jose do Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Size:  Specimen is 44 mm tall

A very fine "pencil" of intense gemmy green to blue-green elbaite prism with a pyramidal termination. Inclusions in the bottom 1.5 cm of the crystal give it a "cats eye" chatoyancy.
