Excellent Shrimp Plate - Natural Double
Stock Number  XISHL24

Name:   Carpopenaeus callirostris
Age:  Middle Cretaceous
Formation:  Cenomanian Layers
Location:  Hajoula, Lebanon
Size:  Plate is 3.2" X 4.0"

This is a nice plate of lithographic limestone with two Carpopenaeus callirostris shrimp preserved. This wonderful specimen is from the Cenomanian Layers of Lebanon. Due to political unrest, specimens from this location are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. The detail of these shrimp is exceptional, and both shrimp have very good color and contrast. The shrimp are naturally spaced in-line on the rectangular matrix plate. This is a very displayable multiple plate of fossil shrimp from the Cretaceous.
