Displayable Double Shrimp Plate From Lebanon
Stock Number  XISHL18

Name:   Carpopenaeus callirostris Shrimp
Age:  Middle Cretaceous
Formation:  Cenomanian Layers
Location:  Hajoula, Lebanon
Size:  Plate is 3.5" X 4.3"

This is a very nice example of two fossilized shrimp. They are Carpopenaeus callirostris from the sublithographic limestone layers of Lebanon. Due to political unrest, specimens from this location are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. Both fossil shrimp are complete and have very good color. The detail of the shrimp is easily seen with the naked eye. The shrimp are aesthetically spaced on the semi-oval matrix plate. This is a very displayable multiple plate of fossil shrimp from Lebanon.
