Here is an extremely large Silurian crinoid from Morocco. The crinoid is gray in color contrasting nicely with the reddish-brown matrix. The calyx shows excellent detail. The highly ornamented plates of the cup are quite evident. The long, sinuous, feathery arms are spectacular, measuring almost 5.5 inches in length. There are also many sections of crinoid stems preserved on the same piece of matrix. This 8.5" X 9.5" slab is a great display item. This is a very nice crinoid from Morocco.
