This is a very distinct fossil. It is a Ganoceras ammonoid from the Devonian of Morocco. This cephalopod has been highly polished, and the fine detail of the fossil is beautifully displayed. The individual sutures are easily seen, and the coiling pattern is clearly defined. This is a nice, large example of a Devonian ammonoid from Morocco. (White streaks are reflections in the photo, not on the actual ammonite)
