This is a very strange arthropod. It is a fabulous Duslia insignis from the Upper Ordovician of Morocco. This unusual animal is in the Superclass Arachnomorpha, and the Order Cheloniellida. It has some trilobite-like features, but is not a trilobite. This specimen shows some of the best detail on one of these that we have seen. The fossil also contrasts beautifully with the lighter-colored matrix. This is a very collectible example of this weird Ordovician arthropod.
