Here is a very fine example of an unusual fossil. This is an unidentified "branching" bryozoan from the Upper Ordovician Walcott-Rust Quarry of New York. This is a very nice specimen of this distinct animal. The fossil has excellent color and contrast and has very fine detail preserved. And there is also a decent trilobite preserved on the plate (can you spot it?) This is a very nice example of an Ordovician bryozoan colony and trilobite.
