This is a very displayable specimen of a fossil gastropod from the Pennsylvanian of Illinois. This gastropod is found in an extremely hard limestone matrix. This detailed specimen has been expertly prepared to showcase the fine detail. The fossil snail is extremely inflated and quite 3-dimensional. This is a very nice specimen of an unusual fossil snail from the Midwest.
