These are four very nice specimens of Pyrina ovulum from the Cretaceous of France. These elongate sea urchins have been removed from the matrix so that they can be viewed from all angles. The fossils are extremely robust and exhibit fine detail. The entire tests are somewhat smooth, and the ambulacra are easily seen. These are excellents example of this classic echinoid from France.
