Here is a real rarity. It is a killer multiple plate of FOUR gastropods from the Ordovician of Minnesota. On the right side of the plate are three excellent specimens of Maclurites. This unusual type of gastropod coils in such a pattern that all the whorls are visible on the flat lower side. A large example of Fusispira is located on the top left of the plate. This type of fossil snail has a more conventional look and is quite 3-dimensional.  It is highly unusual to find these two types of snails in such close proximity. The fossils exhibit excellent detail and display well on the large matrix plate. This is a collectible display specimen of four unusual Ordovician gastropods.
