This is a beautifully prepared trilobite. It is a top quality Phacops from Morocco. This specimen has been expertly prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab. This awesome trilobite has been professionally extracted from rock the surrounding the trilobite, giving the appearance it is floating in mid-air! The base, too, has been expertly sculpted - it really does look like an artist's sculpture, not a fossil! The distinct trilobite is super clean and the compound eye facets are excellent. The hypostoma (mouthplate) has even been exposed and is very easily seen. And, remember, this amazing bug was microscopically-prepared in the US, not in Morocco. This is simply a special fossil, prepared to display the most amount of character possible.
