This is a nice, outstretched specimen of Isotelus mafritzi from the Ordovician of Canada. This trilobite is nearly complete and well articulated. The bug exhibits fine detail - the distinct features of this trilobite are easily seen. The dark color of the trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the grey matrix. The fossil is well presented on the small matrix plate. This is a cool example of Isotelus from the Ordovician of Ontario.
