This is an excellent fossil crab. It is a distinct Pinnixa galliheri crab from California. This type is referred to as a ''pea crab'' due to it's petite size. The crab has nice detail preserved, and it is well showcased on the large matrix plate. The legs and claws display beautifully. This is a very nice fossil crab from the Golden State.
