Here is a very interesting pair of fossil bird tracks from the Green River Formation of Utah. There are two very large water bird tracks on the plate. These tracks were probably made by a Flamingo-like bird. It is very easy to understand how a bird made tracks in the mud along the shoreline of the lake. The mud later turned to stone and the bird tracks were preserved. This is a great specimen of two large bird tracks from the Eocene.
