This is a very nice cave bear jaw from the Pleistocene of Romania. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain as the cave deposits have been heavily collected. Three excellent teeth are retained in the jawbone. The large teeth have excellent enamel and exhibit some wear - the jaw was from an adult bear. The jawbone is also in nice condition. This is a very fine display specimen of a large cave bear jaw with teeth.
