This is a special arthropod fossil. It is a nice Marella splendens from the famous Burgess Shale locality. This specimen is from an OLD collection - the only way to acquire Burgess Shale fossils. This unusual arthropod has very good detail preserved (much better than the photo shows). The segmented body and ''horns'' are very easily seen. And the fossil is very well preserved - it flashed brightly and displays beautifully. This is a very fine specimen for someone who wants a nice fossil from the classic Burgess Shale.
