Here is an excellent specimen of Phacops speculator from the Devonian of Morocco. This enrolled trilobite is complete and exhibits fine detail. The individual lenses of the compound eyes are intact and easily seen. The pustules on the large glabella are clearly defined. The ebony trilobite contrasts nicely with the brown limestone matrix. The wonderfully articulated bug is nicely perched on the block of limestone. This is a very attractive Phacops trilobite from the Atlas Mountains.
