This large Quartz crystal contains long, acicular crystals of Rutile. Both minerals crystallized from the same hydrothermal solution, but the fact that multiple crystals of Rutile are included in one large crystal of Quartz indicates that the Quartz crystallized later than the Rutile. There are even Rutile crystals outside of the Quartz, attached to a Hematite base.
