Here is a fabulous plate of fossil insects from the Eocene of Colorado. This plate has DOZENS of insects represented - we stopped counting at 100! These extremely detailed insects have great dark color, and they contrast well with the khaki-colored matrix. There is also a rare leaf preserved on the plate. The insects are easily seen on the large slab of shale. This is a terrific multiple specimen of Eocene Insects from Colorado.
