Here is a very colorful ammonite specimen. This is a large Dactylioceras ammonite from the Jurassic of Germany. The individual cephalopod has a very rounded keel and very fine ribbing. The ammonite is inflated and exhibits very nice detail. The distinct fossil displays the inner whorls beautifully. The yellowish-orange ammonite is quite striking. This is a very displayable Jurassic ammonite from Germany.
