This is a nice Devonian trilobite. It is a Phacops sp. from Morocco. This trilobite came from a private collection. The bug is large and extremely 3-dimensional. The robust trilobite exhibits nice detail. The granulose nature of the exoskeleton is clearly defined, and the large, compound eyes are easily seen. Many of the individual lenses are intact and are well displayed. The trilobite has very good color and contrast and is well showcased on the plate of sculpted limestone. This is a very affordable specimen of Phacops speculator from Morocco.
