This is a killer fossil shark tooth. It is a Carcharocles megalodon shark tooth from North Carolina. Megalodon teeth from North Carolina are very scarce, since fossil collecting was halted two years ago. The quality of this tooth is exquisite. The tip and serrations are perfectly preserved and razor-sharp. The root, too, is nearly perfect. The enamel of the tooth is fully intact and beautifully colored. It is extremely difficult to get a tooth from Aurora, North Carolina of this high quality. This is a VERY collectible fossil shark tooth from the Phosphate Mines of North Carolina.
