Here is an interesting Triceratops fossil. Triceratops was a massive, three-horned, plant-eating dinosaur with a large frilled skull. This specimen is a large section of Triceratops skull frill from the Cretaceous of South Dakota. This heavy bone has fine form - the rounded edge of the frill is easily seen. The detail of the bone is very good - the vessicles are quite evident. This is a very displayable example of Triceratops frill from the Cretaceous.
