This is a rare vertebrate fossil. It is a large Bison antiquus Horn Core from Florida. This fossil is from an old collection and was found over 40 years ago in the 1960's. Most people would not think that Bisons (Buffalo) ever enhabited Florida! This fossil is quite large and distinct. The bone is mineralized (heavy) and has very nice detail preserved. This is a very collectible vertebrate fossil found in the river deposits of Florida.
