This is a wonderful fossil. It is a large Keichousaurus hui from the Triassic of China. This dinosaur-like reptile is extremely well preserved and exhibits great detail. The head, long neck, body, and tail are all present. Many small, pointed teeth can be seen in the skull, and the limbs are beautifully exhibited in the ''splayed'' position . Even the tiny digits of the limbs are easily seen. The black bones of the reptile are unusually robust and contrast nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The Keich is well positioned on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a very attractive specimen of this dinosaur-like reptile from the Triassic.
