Here is a very nice plate of two echinoderms from the Mississippian of Missouri. The slab has two nice Cryptoblastus sayi blastoids preserved. These 3-dimensional blastoids show the thin ambulacra quite nicely. The radial-deltoid sutures are easily seen. The fossils have very nice detail preserved. The whitish-colored fossils contrast wonderfully with the orangish matrix that contains MANY other fossil fragments. This is a very distinct specimen of uncommon echinoderms from the Burlington Formation.
