Here is a very rare US coin. It is an 1865 Three Cent Nickel Coin. We acquired some rare US coins in trade and will be auctioning them off. The grade of the coin is very good (VG) - the fine detail can still be seen. One side of the coin displays the distinct portrait of Liberty, while the other side exhibits a roman numeral "III". This is the smallest US coin ever produced, and was made specifically to buy a 3 cent postage stamp at the time! This is a very distinct and intresting historical coin from the Civil War period.
