Here is a very large solitary, or ''horn'', coral. It is a detailed Blothrophyllum coral from the Devonian of Ohio. The large horn coral is preserved in a very 3-dimensional manner and exhibits excellent detail - the distinct structure of the coral is easily seen. There are also a smaller corallite growing out of the main body. This is a great example of a Middle Devonian horn coral from Sylvania, Ohio.
