This is an excellent specimen of Onnia superba from the Ordovician of Morocco. This inflated Trinucleid trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits superb detail. The pitted margin of the cephalon is unusually well preserved, and the long, thin genal spines are clearly defined. The individual thoracic segments are easily seen, and the wide, triangular pygidium is present. The almost-black trilobite contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The bug is beautifully displayed on the expertly sculpted plate of dense limestone. This is a high-quality example of Onnia from Morocco.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
