Here is a beautiful fossil crab larva from the Cretaceous of Hajoula, Lebanon. Due to political unrest, fossils from this locality are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. This rare fossil crab is quite distinct and exhibits great detail. The carapace and the LONG legs are clearly defined. The black color of the fossil contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The crab is wonderfully showcased in the center of the rectangular plate of sublithographic limestone. This is a  fabulous specimen of this extremely strange fossil crab from the Cretaceous of Lebanon.
