This is a cool fossil leaf. It is a wonderful Zizyphoides flabellum (Katsura Tree) leaf from the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has great natural shape, which is clearly seen. A petiole is still attached, making for a striking display. The beautiful leaf is well showcased on the large, semi-squared plate of shale. This is a very nice, colorful example of a very unusual fossil leaf from a remote area in Montana.
