Here is a nice pair of distinct brachiopods. These are Schizophoria sp. from the famous Silica Shale of Ohio. Both of the brachiopods have both valves intact and tightly articulated. The brachs are very 3-dimensional and exhibit very good detail. The fine radial ornamentation of the ''lampshells'' is clearly defined. The fossils have wonderful color and contrast. This is an aesthetic specimen of unusual Devonian brachiopods.
