This is an extremely rare US trilobite. It is a beautiful Calymene camerata from Perry County, Pennsylvania. This site is mainly known for ostrocods, but a handful of trilobite remains have also been found. We know of only a handful of complete examples of this type ever found. This specimen is complete with both free cheeks intact, which is extremely rare! The large bug is wonderfully articulated and has very fine detail preserved. The natural color and overall display of this trilobite is simply beautiful. This is a fabulous example of an incredibly obscure trilobite from Pennsylvania.
