This is an unusual pair of fossil leaves. These are distinct Celtis aspera (Hackberry) Leaves from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. These specimens have great shape - the reticulation and venation are also very clearly seen. The fabulous color makes for a striking display. The large leaves are well showcased on the semi-squared plate of shale. This is a wonderful pair of rare fossil leaves from an unusual location in Montana.
