This is a very unusual plant fossil. It is a plate with very detailed Lepidodendron Bark preserved. This large specimen showcases a very distinct example of Lepidodendron bark. The textbook diamond-shaped leaf scar pattern is wonderfully intact. Each ''diamond'' represents the point of attachment of a fallen leaf. The fossil has striking, natural orangish coloration. This is a very collectible plant fossil from the Coal Age of Europe.
