This is a cool fossil leaf. It is a wonderful Zizyphoides flabellum (Katsura Tree) leaf from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has great natural shape, which is clearly seen. The long petiole is still attached, making for a striking display. The beautiful leaf is well showcased on the large plate of shale that also contains a branch at the top. This is a very nice example of a very unusual fossil leaf from a remote in Montana.
