This is a very fine plate of fossil fish from the Eocene of Wyoming. There are five complete specimens and one partial example of Knightia eocaena on the plate. All of the fish exhibit wonderful detail. The bone structure is well displayed, and the heads are easily seen. The yellow-orange color of the fossils contrasts well with the light cream-colored matrix. The fish are naturally positioned on the large plate of shale. This is a very colorful multiple plate of fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
