Here is a collectable fossil fish. This is a large example of Amphiplaga bracyptera from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This is a very scarce fish from the Green River Shale. Only a handful of this species are found each year - and even fewer are found that are this well preserved. This distinct fossil fish exhibits incredible detail - the bone structure is superb, and the fins are beautifully displayed. The fossil has excellent color and contrast and is well showcased on the large rectangular plate of shale. This is a large, top quality specimen of this scarce fossil fish.
