Now here is an enigmatic fossil. This is a HUGE Conularia from the Ordovician of New York. There is still a lot of debate on the classification of this animal. This specimen is very inflated and exhibits fine detail. The crenulated ''ribs'' of the fossil are very well defined. The Conularid has very good natural color. The fossil is fully free of matrix and displays beautifully. This is a very large example of this unusual fossil.
