Here is a nice display plate of Diplomystus dentatus. This specimen is from the Eocene of Wyoming. There are two  fish preserved on the plate (one complete, one partial). The fossils exhibit very fine detail. The bone structure of the fish is wonderfully displayed. The eye socket is easily seen, and the fins are extremely well preserved. The brown fossil fish contrast very nicely with the cream-colored matrix. This is an excellent plate of fossil herring from the Green River Formation.
