This is a fabulous fossil plant from the Cretacous of Morocco. This unidentified (undescribed?) leaf is very well displayed. The detail of this strange leaf is just exquisite! The structure is clearly defined, and the distinct venation is wonderfully displayed. Even the tip of the leaf has been bug-eaten! The dark color of the plant contrasts well with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is wonderfully showcased on the large plate of limestone. And this is a rare split pair specimen - both halves of the fossil are intact and offered together. This is a very collectible part/counterpart specimen of this extremely unusual Cretaceous leaf from Africa.
