Here is a nice specimen of an unidentified leaf from an unusual location. This fossil leaf is from the Miocene of Germany. This leaf is ovate in outline with entire or slightly undulate margins. The leaf has strong primary venation. The long petiole is still attached to the leaf. This fossil has great, dark color and contrast and is well showcased on the rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very interesting example of a fossil leaf from the Miocene of Germany.
