This is an excellent pair of fossil leaves. It is a beautiful Viburnum asperum Leaf double from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. These specimens have great teardrop shape - the serrations and venation are very clearly seen. The light brown coloration makes for a striking display. The large leaves are well showcased on the semi-squared plate of shale. This is a very fine pair of fossil leaves from an unusual location in Montana.
