Here is an extremely uncommon fossil plant from the Cretaceous of Germany. This is a very fine example of a Fossil Cycad frond. Although this plant somewhat resembles a fossil fern or pine needles, it is actually a rare cycad. This specimen exhibits extremely fine detail - the individual leaflets are very easily seen. This is a striking example of a rare Cretaceous cycad plant from Germany.
