This is a very unusual fossil arthropod from the Jurassic. It is a large Palinurina tenera from the famous Solnhofen Limestone of Germany. This particular decapod was acquired from a major German collection, and was found in the 1970's. This type of arthropod has long appendages that stretch out in front of the body. These appendages are quite evident on this specimen. Also, the antennae are also extremely long on this type of lobster. The fossil has great color and contrast and is very well showcased on the squared plate of lithographic limestone. This is a very collectible example of this unique crustacean from an old collection.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
