This is a very nice plate of fossil leaves. It is a wonderful pair of leaves from the Eocene of Colorado. The leaf on the left is a nice Macgintea wyomingensis Sycamore leaf. The leaf has great natural color and detail preserved. The leaf on the right is Populus wilmattae, a Poplar. The leaves have good natural contrast and are naturally showcased on the large plate of shale. This is a very displayable example of two very different leaves from the Green River Formation.
