This is a nice European ammonite fossil. It is a large Perisphinictes sp. from France. This specimen has very nice detail - it has many of the inner whorls exposed. The ammonite is extremely inflated and 3-D and is almost fully extracted from its surrounding matrix. This is a large French ammonite that displays very well.
