Here is a very nice croc fossil. This is a distinct vertebra from the croc, Sarcosuchus imperator. Sarcosuchus means, ''Flesh Crocodile Emperor'', and has been nicknamed ''SuperCroc''. This vertebra is fully free of matrix, is very 3-dimensional, and has great form. The bone structure is beautifully preserved, and almost all of the vertebral processes are present. The bone is extremely detailed, and the natural reddish-brown color is quite striking. This is a very collectible dinosaur fossil from the Cretaceous.
