This is a fantastic fossil fish. It is a very large Mioplosus labracoides from Wyoming. This specimen is complete and has extremely fine detail intact, especially on the spectacular, long backbone. Some teeth are even preserved on this specimen, which is quite unusual. The fish has great color and is nicely showcased on the large, oval matrix plate. And the fish is over a foot long - WOW! This is a beautiful, top quality example of a large, predatory fish from the Green River Formation.
