This is a plate of unusual Mississippian coral. These are Cladochonus beecheri from Crawfordsville, Indiana. This locality os better known for the crinoid fossils found there. There are two coral colonies preserved on the plate. The branching structure is quite distinct and easily seen. The is a very detailed pair of coral from the classic Crawfordsville site.
